How the League runs

The Jorvik 6-a-side Football League takes place on Sunday evenings between 5.00pm and 9.00pm. The League is held at York St John University Sports Park.

Matches are outdoor floodlit matches with no head height rules. Instead, our leagues have more of an 11-a-side feel. Referees are fully qualified FA referees.

Teams play 1 match each week, consisting of 2 halves of 20 minutes. Support is available during matches and for any administration. Match balls and bibs are provided, or teams are welcome to wear their own kits.

Divisions to suit different abilities are available and there will be promotions and relegation at the end of the season. League tables will be published regularly online and on noticeboards at the York St John University Sports Park.
