Organisations in the UK and around the world are facing a significant future of uncertainty which is likely to continue for some time. The anticipation of the future will play an important role in the safeguarding and improvement of organisations.

Who is this course for?
This workshop is to provide an introduction to Futures and Foresight and can lead into the Futures and Foresight course.
What will I learn?
Throughout this taster session you will touch upon areas that will be covered more in-depth in the full course. For example, you will set out key features of futures and foresight, as well as themes and projections. You will also set out questions for the future and outline mini scenarios.
How will I learn?
This course is taught through a 90 minute workshop in groups of between 6 and 20 people.
Course leader biographies
Professor Jeff Gold
Jeff has an Economics BA (Hons) and Postgraduate Qualifications in HR Management and Education. From 2006 to 2014 he was the co-founder of the HRD and Leadership Research Unit at Leeds Business School. This was a collaborative project with organisations including Hallmark Cards, Morrisons PLC, Skipton Building Society, BUPA, LBBC Ltd, Webanywhere and The Works. The projects sought to support leadership and talent development in each organisation and allow knowledge to be shared between partners. He was also the Director of the DBA course at Leeds Business School.
He has delivered a wide range of seminars, courses and workshops on change, strategic learning, futures and foresight management and leadership with a particular emphasis on participation and distribution.
