Join one of our current York St John students for an in-person campus tour.
Explore our York city centre campus and get a feel for student life at York St John University.
On your tour, you will get a chance to look around our main campus, in the heart of York. Depending on the day, some tours may also offer a chance for you to look around our specialist study facilities. Tours do not include a visit to our accommodation sites or Haxby Road Sports Park.
Tours take place throughout the week, including weekends, and last up to 1 hour. Tours only run if you have booked a place in advance.
Our campus tours are 1 to 1 experiences for prospective students and their families, led by a Student Ambassador. This is a unique opportunity to explore the campus with someone who can share real, first-hand insights tailored to your interests.
As each tour is individually scheduled, we kindly ask that you let us know if your plans change. Late cancellations or no-shows can be challenging, as we still organise the tours and pay our ambassadors. Thank you for helping us make these visits meaningful and efficient.
To let us know about any accessibility needs or to ask a question, get in touch with us at studentrecruitment@yorksj.ac.uk. We look forward to seeing you soon!
If you can't make it to York to look round in person, you can still explore our campus online.

I chose YSJ because it has a beautiful campus close to the city centre. There's so much space to study both inside and outside! It's so rare for a city campus to have so much greenery, it's absolutely stunning every season!

The University's stunning buildings and grounds caught my eye. The historic city centre of York added to the charm of the place.

The campus was attractive, and although York St John is a small university, it is still rather spacious as well. Many of the students that I met on my visit interacted with other students as we crossed the campus, giving it a great sense of community.
